Als synonym für "huilocpalli" kommt " mâcuêxtlaxcalli " das 'Brot in Gestalt eines Armbandes' vor. Es war ein Gebäck in Ringform, das aus eingekochten, in trockenen Zustande zermahlenen Maiskörnern also aus Maismehl, nicht aus Maismasse hergestellt wurde.
